Tales from the Hip pt31 TrackBuster – Vardy

Vardy, bit of a legend really and I’ve only ever met him on the tinterweb thingy-ma-jig. But I feel like we’ve been mates for ages.
Been following his tuneage since about 2016 and he plays everything, Beck stylee, in the sense he’s a instrumentalist but doesn’t have long hair and wear a funny hat.
Got a northern twang, ahem, Derbyshire tone, bred on ska punkism nurturing a bout of angst, whereby his tuneage more often than not digs a truthful finger into the ribs of authority. He’s a bit like a buzzing Billy Bragg.
But that’s just my opinion. The crack of the fact, he can play, the drums mostly, guitar he can shake a pick at and no doubt shake an angry maraca if pushed.
He now plays for a band called Hung Like Hanratty, who take their name from a fella roped in 1962 and believed innocent – can’t stop that march for truth eh Dan – And I must admit, I’m a bit late to this party, so will get on Hung Like Hanratty right away.
Meantime, this TrackBuster by Vardy – Wake Up is a cracker and fits nicely with Tales from the Hip Pt31
