‘…An adult life time of intravenous drug abuse had woven into Peter’s DNA registering him a paranoid schizophrenic. His violence that so poignantly breeched the family’s charter was now officially recognised by the government’s laws, the court’s laws; an outcome she was publicly bound to accept. Erroneous as his deeds were, they shied in comparison to the disturbing condition which now enveloped him. Sudden mood swings rendered her a victim in her own home. Threatened with a clothes iron only a fortnight previously had shaken her to the core. Omitting actually being bludgeoned to a pulp the mental upheaval she cradled as a mother’s bond was a hold she would never release. She queried what she had produced, how it came to this, was she just another victim of circumstance!
Physical frailty came with age, yet she was agile as a Tahr goat. Reined in by her Doctor’s advice she rarely rested until necessary. An aura of dignity enveloped and nurtured from a comfortable frontier childhood growing up in …’
